Who makes the best windows?

Believe it or not, window companies and window features cover the range from basic contractor-grade to high-end designer styles. Replacement windows enhance the look of a home while making it less drafty and quieter–in addition to reducing on energy costs. Additionally, they’re easier to clean and maintain than old windows, which often employ an outdated combination of storm windows and screens.

American Thermal Window offers eleven different window companies to choose from, with affordable options to adhere to all budgets. However, even the best windows won’t deliver the look and comfort they promise if they’re poorly installed, which is why all of our installers are seasoned craftsmen and company employees, never subcontractors. Marvin, Pella, and Great Lakes Windows are just a few of the window companies we offer, with thirty different color options to fit any design need. Additionally, we also offer fire-rated windows as well as commercial windows.

Window Varieties and Styles

Different window companies offer a variety of materials and styles, so it’s important to familiarize yourself with what material will suit your needs. Wood window frames and all-vinyl frames are the most popular materials people use. Wood-frame windows are often clad with other materials on the home’s exterior to insulate the wood from the elements and eliminate painting. As a more attractive option than other materials, wood frames are still an investment, for sure. Vinyl-frame windows are the most economical, are usually white, and offer fewer options for customizing hardware, etc. Fiberglass-frame windows are a newer development in the industry; fiberglass needles are embedded in plastic to make for a stronger, stiffer frame. When extra safety and security is needed, steel frames are used in fire-rated windows. Commercial windows classically feature aluminum frames.

A blog post like this can only offer the barest idea of what different window companies can offer you, the consumer.
